Desolate 04:18
Not once in my life have I seen a storm, not like that day when I lost my home. There was something about the way it moved everyone and I was left to get through it on my own. I wait on the side of the road. Under this drive, I wait alone. I'm getting tired and I just need a home. It's been two weeks and about five more days. I haven't eaten in three and I'm losing faith. And all of a sudden, I can't feel anything; in this city I'll die, but I won't find my grave I wait on the side of the road. Under this drive, I wait alone. I'm getting tired and I just need a home. I wait alone on the side of the road; in this city I'll die 'cause I can't find a home.

Waiting for the sun to go down, stop lighting up the flaws I've found. Feeling surrounded by a fortress of doubt and the walls are all made of glass, but looking through I only see the past. And if I find the inspiration that I seek, there always seems to be a higher peak; too high to climb from the fortress of my mind, but I won't let that stop me. There's something in us all worthy to be freed. 'Cause hope is waiting. Hope is waiting. Hope is waiting, waiting for a chance to breathe. I know I'm free to be who I want to be, but sometimes it's hard to see. This life is a wonder, but this pressure I'm under, sometimes it feels like a crown and it's weighing my mind down. But hope is waiting. Hope is waiting. Hope is waiting, waiting for a chance to breathe. Even when you're taking the wrong way down from the last high you found... When life feels too long now, like the flame's dead and gone out... Hope is waiting. Hope is waiting. Hope is waiting, waiting for a chance to breathe. Hope is waiting. Hope is waiting. Hope is waiting, waiting for a chance to breathe. Waiting for you and me. Hope is waiting, so give it a chance to breathe. Hope is waiting to be.

I want to find a cave to get lost in; damp air that chills me to the bone. Something slightly bigger than a coffin; somewhere my mind can feel alone. I'd like to hop a train to a different way of thinking, consider why I don't miss my home. Follow my thoughts 'til there's no hope in braking, lost in a darkness that is my own. Lost in a darkness, I can find a solace where the mountains meet the road. I want to find a lake to cool my body; free my mind to travel on its own. Let the water sit still and surround me; remember what it's like to be alone. I've spent too much time in painted deserts; too many people shuffling their feet. No time but to push the sand in measure, while the air dries up my sanity. While the air is dry, a solace I can find where the mountains meet the road. I want to find a cave to get lost in; free my mind to travel on its own. Follow my thoughts 'til there's no hope in braking; lost in a darkness that is my own.

Do you love me like you used to? Do you love me at all? It's hard to feel something from you when you give nothing at all. Does a rock remember sediment or only the crevice that is made? Has absence made it easy to forget? Do you even know who left the marks I made? I know what you did or didn't do. Sometimes I think that you eroded. I know that we all took a piece, but you forgot or never noticed; you just know that nothing ever feels complete. You taught people how to live, because you were scared to die. You taught us all to face the current, fearing you would lose the strength to stay alive. I know what you did or didn't do. Your shoulders have become a hardened grey, filled with broken pieces of shame spread amongst your glittering veins that show signs of a former life, leading to a heart that's nearly petrified. I know what you did or didn't do.

The wind's got the dust in a whirl, choking the life out of our little world. So I'm heading for Garnet and gold, filled with gilded dreams of hope. Your protest has little been heard, but I don't need to hear you're assuming the worst. This is how I know to provide. I'll return, we'll start a new life. You wait out by the tracks, though you say I won't come back. I'm here in this dusty old town. I've got work to do if there's gold to be found. These tunnels may be passing their prime, but I think there's still life in these mines. The word has spread all around; there's a fresh crew to take another shot at this ground. I'm gonna make one final bid, see what this earth has to give. You wait out by the tracks, though you say I won't come back. This town has sunk into a grave, filled with dozens of souls waiting to be saved. So I'm headed home with my life, though I've lost quite a bit of my pride. This whole thing was just a mistake. I should have listened to you. I should never have changed. We don't need much to survive; fortune's not the purpose of life. You wait out by the tracks, though you say I won't come back.

Destiny 05:27
Do you remember when we first met? It's so hard to believe how long it's been that you've been waiting for me. We were once like lovers with a new song to sing; we had a plan to write one hell of a story. Destiny, are you just a dream? It's been so long since you whispered to me. Destiny, hold out for me. It's been so long you've been waiting for me. At some point along the way I thought I had to leave; I thought you changed, but that was foolish of me. And then one day, my path, somehow, it crossed yours in the street. Since then I've tried to bring you back to me. Destiny, are you just a dream? It's been so long since you whispered to me. Destiny, hold out for me. It's been so long you've been waiting for me. We lost a decade to a civilized debate. I refuse to let anything more stand in our way. Destiny, are you just a dream? It's been so long since you whispered to me. Destiny, hold out for me. It's been so long you've been waiting for me.
